In the first quarter of 2025, the sandbox gaming category on iOS in Germany revealed intriguing trends. According to Sensor Tower, the top five games in this category demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

Roblox from Roblox Corporation showed a notable decline in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $382K at the beginning of January and dropping to around $9.1K by the end of March. Weekly downloads also decreased from around 40.2K to 18.9K, while active users slightly declined from 1.6M to 1.3M.

Minecraft: Dream it, Build it! by Mojang experienced a steady increase in revenue, peaking at about $61.7K in the last week of March. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 6.1K throughout the quarter. Active users saw a gradual rise, reaching 210.3K by the quarter's end.
